Wowzers! Can it be? Now she's a Freshman in High School and Los Alamitos High School just had their first concert of the year! They did a WONDERFUL job and we're so proud of our beautiful girl! She plays the bass so well and we really enjoy watching her progress through the years! This is her 4th year playing and she's GREAT! The last picture is her friend, Jacob, that's been her "string bass buddy" for the past 3 years...the only 2 from middle school that are still playing into High School. We look forward to her next concert in February!
Last night was Meghann's 2nd to last concert with the McAuliffe Middle School Orchestra! :-( We are going to be SO sad when we have to leave Jeff! Thankfully, Ky will be there for 3 years, so we'll get to keep going back! All the kids played very well...as usual, and it was a pleasure to listen to! Here are some pictures of our gorgeous Meghann playing the string bass. She's SO good at it and we're happy that she's inherited both of our musical talents! She wore a different shirt at first because we went to dinner @ Chic-Fil-A before the concert and with a white shirt, we didn't want to take any chances!
Last night was the Los Alamitos All District Orchestra Night. So we got to hang out with friends and listen to some great music by all the groups. We're biased and think that the McAuliffe Middle School orchestra is the BEST, but the Los Alamitos High School is very good too! Though next year it will improve even more...hee, hee, since Meghann will be there! Here are some pictures from the evening! Look how grown up Meghann is.... {On a side note, thanks for everyone's support and concern over Mike's back surgery! We've really enjoyed talking with everyone and updating them! Wednesday, the 11th of February was Meghann's last time performing with the McAuliffe Middle School Orchestra @ the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. :-( Makes me sad! They've done it every year and done so well! Here are some pictures and a video from the performance. Enjoy!

Well, yesterday was the last time Meghann will perform @ Disneyland as a Middle Schooler! She's performed there each of the past 3 years, and it's always been a fun time for the kids and the parents! Dave, Heidi, Max, Kylan, Mike & Michelle all went out to breakfast @ Johnny Rebs, and then headed over to Disneyland to meet up with Heather and watch McAuliffe Middle School perform. This was Meghann & Kendall's last year doing it, but Kylan will start his 3 years of Disneyland performances, next year! The kids were GREAT...as usual! We really enjoyed the performance. Then the kids headed backstage to change over for the rest of the day. Kylan let Meghann wear his Jack Skellington hat for the day...and she was thrilled! Ky is like her surrogate little brother...Kendall would happily let her have him some days! Larissa, Meghann, Kendall & Rebecca spent a few hours running around Disneyland before the kids had to meet up with their chaperons and go home on the bus. One of the best things about having Annual Passes? Meghann has never had to go home on the bus! We just check Kendall and Megs out and stay for the rest of the night! So we had another few hours to play and then headed home. A WONDERFUL last Middle School performance @ Disneyland! Great Job Kids!!

Our daughter is in the back of the orchestra, standing up, playing the string bass. It's a small video, so it's hard to see her....mainly I wanted to put this up here for the audio. These are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders @ McAuliffe Middle School in Los Alamitos, CA....a PUBLIC school! Meghann is an amazing musician, but I suppose when both of your parents are too, it helps!
